Our history

1983: José Neves was founded. With Headquarters in Guimarães, José Neves began its activity by processing papers and dealing in paper and adhesive tapes, remaining in the hands of its founder up to now.

1988: Introduction of a new business area – transformation of corrugated board to carton production.

1993: Increase of investment in the production of corrugated carton boxes; upgrade to a new facility of 2 000 sqm.

1998: Upgrade on machinery for transformation of corrugated cardboard and increase for an area with 3 400 sqm.

2000: José Neves was certified under ISO 9002 (1995), becoming the first company in the packaging sector with such distinction, maintaining the certification up to date (ISO 9001: 2008).

2001: To ensure the logistics needs, José Neves created a new company: Distriseven.

2004: Sevenurb was founded, for the purpose of managing the company’s real estate assets.

2007: Nevsta was created – a new company dedicated to paper processing, with focus on the international market.

2016: Always in constant growth, José Neves started the construction of a new facility with more than 13 000 sqm, and planned new investments that promise to bring added value to its Customers.

2018: José Neves moves to the new facilities and increases its productive capacity with the acquisition of new machines (Emba and Plotter for cardboard samples). The total area is 16 000 sqm. The investment in new Human Resources is constant and the team continues to growing.
